Yakityak Kennels reg. (yak-i-t-yak) was established in 2006, with the purchase of our first Pointer.  This dog was an amazing example of the breed and has surpassed our every expectation.  He is a wonderful show dog, has a keen interest in birds and an aptitude for hunting, but most of all, he is a devoted family member.  Because of him, we are hooked on this wonderful breed.  In 2009 we had our first litter which produced one American Champion, and two Canadian Champions which finished their championships by winning Winners Dog, Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best Puppy at the Pointer Club of Canada National Specialty.  We have been fortunate to have several dogs in the top 10 Pointers over the past few years, but the most rewarding prize of all is seeing our puppies thrive in their family homes.

  In 2012 we had the privilege of presenting BIS, BISS, Am., Can. Gr. Ch. Legacyk Blue Sunday CGN alias Brodie.  Brodie is an incredible German Short Hair Pointer, bred by Nancibeth Koustal and Sherri Griswald.  We are thrilled to announce that we are now partners in Team Brodie.  We are so enamoured with this dog and the breed, that we are extending our family to include the stunning young lady, LegacyK She Just Yakitiyak's.
